Wipro Q2 Results: IT sector giant Wipro on Thursday (October 17) released the results for the second quarter of the current financial year. The company on Thursday reported a profit of Rs 3,209 crore in the July-September quarter (second quarter) of FY 2024-25. The company's profit has increased by 6.8 percent quarterly and 21.3 percent year-on-year. Along with the quarterly results, the company has announced bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1.
The company's gross revenue in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 was Rs 22,300 crore ($2,662.6 million). It has increased by 1.5 percent on a quarterly basis. At the same time, there has been a decline of one percent on an annual basis.

In the September quarter, the income of the company's IT services segment was $ 2,660 million. It has increased by 2 percent on an annual basis. The bonus issue has been announced by the company's board of directors. Every investor will be given one share in exchange for one share. The company said in its statement that the company's income from the IT segment is expected to be between $ 2,607 million and $ 2,660 million in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25.

Wipro CEO and Managing Director Srini Palia said that based on strong execution in the second quarter, we met our expectations for revenue growth, bookings, and margins. We continued to expand our top accounts, large deal bookings once again exceeded $1 billion, and Capco maintained its momentum for the second consecutive quarter. We grew in three out of four markets, as well as in BFSI, consumer and technology, and communication sectors. We will continue to invest in our clients, our strategic priorities, and building a strong AI-powered Wipro.
