Up with new allegations against the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Codeine cough syrup case, Chief Minister Yogi Aadityanath said, “In preliminary investigations, it appears the people arrested by the STF and UP Police have connections with the Samajwadi Party.” Answering a recent question from the news outlet India TV, CM Yogi said, “With time, the Samajwadi Party will see more of its involvement in the case, the deeper the investigation goes.”
CM Yogi added, “For now, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the state level is investigating the case. Officers from UP Police and FSDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration) are on the SIT.” He added, “The investigation will show the extent of money each person got and the complete layer of the entire nexus will be laid bare.”
In a more direct attack on Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav, CM Yogi said a proverb, “Yahi kasoor mai baar baar karta raha, dhool chehre pe the aaina saaf karta raha.”
Speaking of the arrests of a number of people after he received multiple complaints, CM Yogi, said, “They were selling poison cough syrup. (In reverse) We got a huge cut on the syrup smuggling that was being done in the state.”
UP Winter Session to discuss 150 years of Vande Mataram, says CM Yogi
CM Yogi stated that a particular session will be dedicated to debating Vande Mataram, which will celebrate its 150-year anniversary, as the UP Assembly Winter Session commenced today. He mentioned this will be an important discussion.
During the all-party meeting on Thursday, he stated to the opposition that the government was prepared to debate any topic.
CM Yogi praises SIR in UP
In regards to the SIR topic, CM Yogi mentioned it was democracy that was primarily the reason for the reliability and significance of voter list updates. He mentioned that SIR’s three-fourths of the work was done in the state.
