In Maharashtra, the BJP came to power by raising the slogan of vote dharma buddha against vote jihad and won with a huge majority. Efforts are being made to form the government. Everyone is busy preparing for the swearing-in ceremony. Meanwhile, the state government announced to give a fund of 10 crores to the Waqf Board for infrastructure development. But not even 24 hours passed that a big controversy arose on this and finally Fadnavis had to withdraw the decision. Let us know what is the reason behind this.?
The Shinde government had given this fund to develop the functioning and infrastructure of the Waqf Board. There was a lot of discussion even then. Some people were praising that the BJP-Shiv Sena government is giving a signal of taking the whole society along. But on Friday, Devendra Fadnavis suddenly tweeted and clarified this decision. He wrote on Twitter, that the Chief Secretary had immediately withdrawn the order because when there was a caretaker government in the state, the GR was not properly issued by the administration regarding giving money to the Waqf Board. As soon as the new government comes into the state, its justification and validity will be examined.
When was the decision taken?
Actually, the government had decided to give Rs 10 crore to the Waqf Board for the welfare of minorities in the financial year 2024-2025. Before the elections in June, the Minority Welfare Department had given Rs 2 crore to the Waqf Board in Aurangabad and promised to give the remaining amount later. Now after the decision, the Mahagathbandhan government has approved funds to enhance the functioning and infrastructure of the Waqf Board.

Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad opposed this decision of the government. It said- What the Congress government did not do, the Mahayuti government is doing. The government is appeasing the religious community. If this decision is not withdrawn, the Grand Alliance parties will have to face the anger of Hindus in the upcoming local self-government and assembly elections. VHP's Konkan division secretary Mohan Salekar had even given a warning in this regard. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has done a lot of work for BJP in the assembly elections. It is being said that some leaders of the Sangh were also angry with this decision. That is why Devendra Fadnavis had to take immediate action on this.
