The WPL will begin on February 14 with Gujarat Giants taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The schedule for the Women’s Premier League has been revealed by the BCCI on Thursday. Super November will return in 2025 with the WPL aiming for a thrilling season, spanning across Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
The league is set to commence at the BCA Stadium in Baroda on the 14th of February as the RCB defend their title against the Gujarat Giants. On February 21st, the WPL 2025 champions will play their home opener against the Mumbai Indians in Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB fans will have plenty to cheer about as the team will play against UPW, GG, and DC on 24th, 27th February and 1st March respectively. Even lucky Megan Schutt’s team will receive good news because they’ll be playing 3 matches at the WPL’s new venue for Lucknow starting on March 3rd.
The league stage will come to a fitting conclusion in Mumbai as the stunning CCI will host the final two league matches along with the final 2 playoff matches. Starting on March 10 Mumbi will finalise the league stage with two home matches; against GG and RCB continuing their chase.
Think of those matches as Elimination rounds where the winners get to qualify for the finals. Such is the weightage to be placed on these match-ups which will take place on Thursday March 13. The breath-taking trophy match will be held on Saturday, March 15.
Just for reference, the previous season format remains unchanged for the Season 3 of the million pound railway All Stars as the tournament continues to adhere to single matches.
