The hearing will take place in Paris

CAS has set up a division in Paris under the leadership of President Michael Lennard to handle cases during the Olympics. The division is located within the Paris Judicial Court in the 17th arrondissement. Vinesh Phogat announced her retirement from wrestling on Thursday after being disqualified from the Paris Olympics final. In an emotional post on X, Vinesh Phogat expressed disappointment over her defeat and said - Maa Kushti mere se jeet gayi, main haar gayi.

Appeal of Wrestling Federation of India

Wrestling Federation of India president Sanjay Singh reacted and urged Phogat to reconsider her decision. Speaking to ANI, Singh stressed that Phogat's announcement was hasty and suggested that she should discuss her retirement with her family, federation, and other sports officials upon returning to India. He highlighted Vinesh's significant contribution and performance in the sport and said that it would be premature to take such a decision at this time. (ANI)
