A groom from Uttar Pradesh was left in shock when his wife of just two days went into labour and gave birth, exposing a shocking twist in their marriage. The incident, which took place in Prayagraj, has left the groom’s family furious as they claim the bride concealed her pregnancy during the wedding.
The family now demands answers, insisting that the bride reveal the identity of the child’s father.
Bride Allegedly Hid Baby Bump with Lehenga
According to the groom’s family, the bride strategically wore her lehenga high on her waist, making it impossible for them to notice her pregnancy.
"She was wearing a lehenga from her waist up. How would anyone understand? We thought maybe she was feeling cold, so she wore it that way. How were we supposed to know what she was hiding?" the groom’s sister said in a viral video.
She further explained that the stage at the wedding was far away, and family members were standing below, making it difficult to observe her closely.
Wedding Night Mystery: Groom Kept at a Distance
When questioned about how the groom failed to notice, his sister claimed that he had no physical contact with his bride.
"My brother didn’t find out because they slept separately. I told him not to talk to her. He said nothing happened between them."
Now, the family is demanding that the bride disclose the child’s father’s identity, stating that they were deceived into accepting a marriage under false pretenses.

February 24: The couple gets married in a grand ceremony.
February 25: The bride moves into her in-laws' home, and the ‘Muh Dikhai’ ceremony takes place.
February 26 Morning: The bride serves tea to the family as usual.
February 26 Evening: She experiences intense stomach pain and is rushed to the hospital.
Within Hours: Doctors confirm she is pregnant and in labour. She gives birth shortly after.
The groom’s family was in disbelief when doctors asked them to sign medical consent forms for the delivery.
Groom Rejects Bride, Calls for Investigation
When confronted, the bride’s parents argued that she and the groom had been in contact before the wedding, as the marriage had been arranged back in May last year. However, the groom denied this, stating that the match was finalized only in October and that he had no prior relationship with her.
Feeling betrayed and humiliated, the groom has rejected his wife and demanded an investigation into the matter.
"I will not accept this girl now," he declared.
The situation has sparked outrage in the community, with many debating whether the groom was deceived or if there was prior knowledge of the pregnancy. Authorities have yet to comment on whether legal action will be taken.
