National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel engaged in relief and rescue work rescued a newborn and his mother.
Relief and rescue work continues
NDRF is continuously engaged in relief and rescue work. People trapped in flood-affected areas are being taken to relief camps with the help of boats. News agency ANI shared a video of the flood-affected state. In this video, a newborn is seen with his mother in the boat. The mother seems to be nervous. However, NDRF personnel are taking them to a safe place. Apart from the woman, other people are also present in the boat.
Centre gives Rs 40 crore aid to Tripura
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Central Government has approved the release of Rs 20 crore for flood-affected Tripura. Also, 11 teams of NDRF, three Army contingents, and four Air Force helicopters have been deployed to assist the state government in flood relief and rescue operations.
Unprecedented floods increased troubles
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Manik Saha termed the floods in Tripura as unprecedented. He said that there has been an unprecedented flood in the state.
