Paithan (Maharashtra). With the approach of assembly elections in Maharashtra, the political stir has increased. The round of rhetoric has also started. The ruling party and the opposition are not missing any opportunity to attack each other. Shiv Sena (UBT) President and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Eknath Shinde without naming him. In an indirect attack on the ruling Shiv Sena, the leader of the rival Shiv Sena faction Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday wondered whether women would trust traitors like brothers who have betrayed their original party.

Addressing a gathering in Paithan, Uddhav Thackeray alleged that traitors were presenting themselves as brothers to get the support of women. His indirect reference was to the monthly cash transfer scheme for women of the Eknath Shinde-led government. He asked, will you trust these people as your brothers who have betrayed their original political party? Under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana, launched a few months before the assembly elections, eligible women get Rs 1,500 per month.

'Demanding justice in the court of the people'
Uddhav Thackeray said that he is demanding justice in the court of the people which is supreme. Thackeray said about the appeal made by the Shiv Sena (UBT) in the apex court in the disqualification case against the MLAs of the rival faction that we have faith in the Supreme Court. The former Chief Minister justified the protest over the alleged sexual abuse of two girls in a school in Badlapur, referring to the agitation in West Bengal over the rape and murder of a doctor in a Kolkata hospital.

Badlapur case
Uddhav Thackeray said that people have the right to seek justice against the delay in filing a case by the police in the Badlapur incident. He said that the police took action against the protesters. The former Chief Minister said, 'When we protest, we are accused of politicizing the issue. The protesters have the right to seek justice as is happening in Bengal.' He said that Thackeray may not be in power, but he knows how to fulfill the promises made to the people. Refuting the BJP's criticism of dynastic politics, he said that it is our gharanashahi to fulfill the promises.
