New Delhi. Bollywood star Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' was released last year in 2023. The film did a business of more than 600 crores at the box office. Recently, director Anil Sharma said that he was confident that after release, 'Gadar 2' would easily do a business of 500 crores at the box office. He also said that on the day of release, seeing the way people were reviewing 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol's eyes were filled with tears.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Anil Sharma said, ‘I was sure that this film would be a hit, but I did not know whether it would earn 500 crores or 600 crores. But as the film was completed and the time of release came, I understood that if Gadar 2 is successful, it will easily earn 500 crores.’

Sunny Deol further told what he had talked to Sunny Deol after the release of 'Gadar 2'. He said, 'I talked to him at 7:30 am on August 11. I woke up early in the morning. My son Utkarsh and his wife were watching social media. My son told me that look, people's reviews are coming on YouTube. I thought that maybe people's reviews awerecoming from Australia, but they were from India.'

Anil Sharma further said, 'I immediately called Sunny Sir (Sunny Deol). Sunny Sir was also watching the reviews. Both of our phones were on speaker. He said Sharma ji it is done. His eyes were filled with tears and he was crying. My wife was also crying. I was also crying. All three of us were crying. I said yes sir it is done. After this , I reached Sunny Sir's house at 10 in the morning. Dharmendra jJi Band hobby Deol was sitting there. Sweets were being distributed. Fans were standing outside.'
