After the death of former Udaipur MP and former royal family member Mahendra Singh Mewar, there is a ruckus over the ceremony of the coronation of his elder son Vishvaraj. Mahendra Singh Mewar's brother and Vishvaraj's uncle Arvind Singh Mewar had closed the doors of Udaipur's City Palace to prevent the tradition from being followed. After their coronation as Maharana in Chittorgarh, Vishvaraj Singh reached Udaipur City Palace with his supporters. He wanted to visit Dhuni Mata located in City Palace. When the doors of City Palace were closed, Vishvaraj's supporters removed the barricading. The crowd clashed with the police. Vishvaraj Singh's supporters entered with a convoy of three cars after removing the barricading. The police and the crowd of Vishvaraj's supporters came face to face. The police used mild force.
The City Palace is controlled by Vishvaraj's uncle Arvind Singh Mewar. By issuing two notices, Arvind Singh Mewar had banned Vishvaraj from coming to the City Palace for the coronation ceremony. The legal notice clearly stated that no unauthorized person from the trust would be allowed to enter the City Palace. The trustee of the trust is Arvind Singh Mewar. The convoy wanted to go inside to visit Dhuni Mata. Vishvaraj was allowed to go inside the City Palace but the police stopped the rest of the vehicles at the door. Security was sought by the police to stop Vishvaraj. The police are trying to stop both the parties. After the death of Mahendra Singh Mewar, the Rajput feudal lords of Mewar have coronated Mahendra Singh's son Vishvaraj Singh with blood and placed him on the throne of the Mewar dynasty. He has been declared the new Maharana of the Mewar royal family.
Vishwaraj Singh, who came from Chittor, said, 'It was a normal thing to visit Dhuni Mata. You all know that what is happening is wrong. You can see how many people will go. I just want to say that this is a family property. It does not belong to any one member. The police administration should decide. I will definitely visit.'

Police are alert to prevent any kind of conflict. Efforts are on to avoid conflict through mutual understanding. District Collector Arvind Poswal and SP Yogesh Goyal are monitoring the entire matter. Police allowed only 3 vehicles to go inside. The rest of the vehicles were stopped at the gate, due to which the conflict occurred.
Earlier, the turban ceremony was held in Fateh Prakash Palace of Chittorgarh Fort to follow the tradition of installing Vishvraj Singh Mewar on the throne. This ritual is performed symbolically. During the ritual, the coronation was done with blood. The coronation ceremony started at 10 am and lasted for about 3 hours. For the first time after 1531, a tilak ceremony was organized in Chittorgarh Fort. Earlier, the then Maharana Vikramaditya, son of Maharana Sanga, was crowned. Udaipur was established in 1559. After making it the capital of Mewar in 1668, the ceremony started taking place in Udaipur. This is the first time that the coronation ceremony took place in Chittorgarh.
