Senior Inspector Anil Shinde of Mumbra Police Station said that the distraught husband had complained to the police after hearing the news of his wife being held hostage in Dubai. In the complaint lodged on December 1, it was stated that his wife was stuck in Dubai and her condition was very bad. According to the complaint, the woman had gone to Dubai on November 25. A friend had told her that a stage dance show was going to be held in Dubai, in which she would get a lot of money and earn a lot. The victim is a resident of Mumbra in Thane district. The victim had received this information through social media messages. After this, contact was made through messenger.

The secret was revealed after reaching Dubai
The woman believed the message and reached Dubai. After reaching there she came to know the truth. There was no stage dance show there, but she was called to work as a bar dancer in a club. Police said that the woman refused to work as a bar dancer. Let us tell you that a large number of people are called to the Gulf countries by luring them with the promise of good earnings. The truth is something else after reaching there. Such people have to go through hellish conditions. Along with that, they have to go through unbearable pain and torture.

Demand of ₹2.50 lakh
Police further said that after the woman refused, the situation started getting worse. She started getting harassed. The woman who had arranged the victim's trip said that 6 to 7 lakh rupees had been spent on her so far. If she wants to return to India, she will have to pay 2.50 lakh rupees. The victim alleges that she started getting harassed and was not even being given food. Meanwhile, the victim somehow managed to contact her husband. She narrated her ordeal to her husband. After this, the victim's husband contacted the local police and pleaded to save his wife. After the tireless efforts of Thane District Police, the woman could be brought back to India.
