Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday sidestepped questions about an alleged rift with the party leadership, choosing instead to redirect focus to the India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy match in Dubai.
Tharoor told reporters:
“Go watch the match. It’s an important match today.”
His comments came after speculation arose following his recent praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit and positive remarks about Kerala’s Left government.
When pressed further on whether things were fine between him and the Congress leadership, Tharoor firmly declined to engage.
“No comments at all.”
With political intrigue and cricket fever both running high, Tharoor’s response suggests he’d rather let the game take center stage—for now.
