Railway Vacancy Update: There is good news for the candidates preparing for a government job in the railways. Indian Railways has started a new recruitment scheme which will enable the youth to get a job without a long wait. Now the railways will run the recruitment process four times a year, that is, new candidates will be appointed every quarter. By the end of this year, recruitment for 61,529 vacant posts will be completed, and the recruitment process for the vacant posts will be started again from January to December next year. With this new rule, the vacant posts will be filled on time every year and the youth will be able to get a job before the age ends.

How many recruitments will there be in Railways in 2024?

According to the documents of the Railway Board, recruitment started for 18,799 posts of Assistant Loco Pilot from January to March 2024. Earlier, the Railways had decided to recruit 5696 posts on 15 December 2023, but after the Kanchenjunga rail accident, the Railway Minister increased the number of posts. After this, recruitment is to be done for 9,144 technical posts from April to June, 7951 posts of Junior Engineer during July to September, 16,154 posts of Non-Technical Popular Category (Level-4, 5, 6) and 1376 posts of Paramedical Category.

How much relaxation will Agniveers get in Railway recruitment?

The Railway Board has announced recruitment for 4660 posts of Railway Protection Force (RPF) during the quarterly recruitment process . In this, 10 percent of the seats will be reserved for those Agniveers who have completed four years of service. Agniveers will also be given five years of relaxation in age and will also be exempted from physical examination. This new scheme will speed up the recruitment process in the railways and candidates will be able to get appointments on time. By filling the vacant posts every quarter, the youth will be able to get jobs without a long wait, and new career opportunities will open up for them in the railways.
