
New Delhi: The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team landed in Dubai on Saturday, gearing up for the highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025. The first batch of Indian players and support staff departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, earlier in the day, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and others among the traveling contingent.
India, boasting a strong 15-man squad, is among the favorites to lift the prestigious trophy. The team will look to avenge their 2017 Champions Trophy final defeat to Pakistan and aim for glory this year.
Grand Welcome in Dubai
Upon landing in Dubai, Team India received a rousing reception from fans, many of whom had gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of their favorite cricketers. Videos circulating on social media showed fans cheering as players arrived in Dubai, with some lucky supporters even managing to click pictures with the squad.
India’s Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule
India has been placed in Group A, alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. However, unlike other teams playing in Pakistan, all of India’s matches will be held in Dubai.

Meanwhile, the opening match of the tournament will take place between Pakistan and New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19.

Despite the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, India has assembled a formidable squad for the tournament. Harshit Rana was named Bumrah’s replacement, while Varun Chakaravarthy replaced Yashasvi Jaiswal as India made final squad adjustments earlier this week.
