Muzaffarpur. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is once again in the news. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived to inaugurate Darbhanga AIIMS on November 12, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar touched his feet on the stage. Before this, Nitish Kumar surprised everyone by touching the feet of BJP leader RK Sinha in Patna. On the day of Chitragupta Puja, RK Sinha had invited him to a program organized at the Chitragupta temple. When RK Sinha was praising Nitish Kumar's work in the matter of renovation of the temple, Nitish Kumar reached him and touched his feet. This statement by Nitish Kumar was in the news for a long time. To know people's opinions on this matter, the team of Local 18 reached out to the people.
Sanjay Rajak of Muzaffarpur told Local 18 that Nitish Kumar was touching Modi's feet. This is a matter of culture. This is a matter of great joy but the sad thing is that both of them are of the same age. If we talk about politics, even though the Prime Minister is in that position today, Nitish Kumar is older than him in politics. He has become the Chief Minister many times. Sanjay says that if Nitish Kumar is touching the Prime Minister's feet for the development of Bihar, then this is wrong. If he is doing it out of respect for the post, then it is okay.
Sumit Kumar said that we think that he must have touched his feet in the hope that he might get the special state status that he has not had for so many years. This is his habit. He has not got the special state status yet. I hope that this time touching his feet will help him in some way.
Sanjeev Kumar told Local 18 that we feel that if he has touched the feet, then there must be some greed for Bihar, he does not touch feet without greed and earlier this was not seen but since he has joined BJP, this is being seen for the third time. Raju Prasad said that this is the greatness of Nitish ji. Respecting elders and touching feet is not a wrong thing, it is a good thing, these opposition people are making it a useless issue. We also saw a few days ago that on one side there was a saffron-clad person, he was touching his feet too, this is not a bad thing for Nitish Ji. He respects and honors elders. Ashok Kumar said that to show respect, people bow down to children and elders too, he could have bowed down with folded hands but he felt that he should touch his feet so he did but yes, if seen, it could be flattery or respect. Anyway, this is not a big issue.
Sudhir Kumar Yadav further told Local 18 that the issue of touching feet is being discussed and the opposition is making it a big issue, so it can be seen that if they are doing it regarding the foundation stone laying of Rs 12000 crore and the AIIMS being built in Darbhanga, then this is a different thing but if they are doing it publicly, then it tarnishes Bihar's image.
