New Delhi. Pakistan Cricket Board is trying its best to invite India to play in the Champions Trophy. PCB has put forward a strange proposal to BCCI in this regard. Pakistan says that if the Indian team wants, it can return to India the same day after playing the match. This clearly shows that PCB wants to invite India at any cost. It also knows that if the Indian team visits Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, it will be a profitable deal for it.

The PCB has approached the BCCI and proposed an arrangement under which India could return to either New Delhi or Chandigarh in between matches if it does not wish to stay in Pakistan during the Champions Trophy next year due to security reasons. The PCB has verbally suggested to the BCCI that the Indian team could camp in New Delhi or Chandigarh or Mohali and use a special flight to fly to Lahore for its matches.

Suggestions not given in writing.
However, a PCB source confirmed to PTI on Friday that the board has not given any suggestion in writing. The source said, 'But yes it is true that these options have been discussed verbally among the officials so that India can play its matches in Pakistan.' The Champions Trophy will be held in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi from February 19 to March 9.

India will refuse to go to Pakistan!
The PCB is mentally prepared that India may refuse to come to play in the Champions Trophy but it is not ready to take the final to be held on March 9 out of Lahore. Even if India qualifies for it. The issue of the Champions Trophy final may also come up in the meeting of the board members of the International Cricket Council to be held in Dubai from 18 to 21 October.

PCB wants to organize the tournament in Pakistan.
A PCB source said, 'PCB's first choice and priority is that the entire tournament should be held in Pakistan. But the board is also mentally prepared that the Indian government will not send its team here and India's matches will be held in UAE. PCB wants the final to be held in Lahore. Even if India reaches the final, PCB would want the match to be held in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.' Bilateral cricket between India and Pakistan has been stopped since the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack in which 175 people were killed and about 300 were injured.
