PAK vs BAN : Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto said that their first 2-0 Test series win against Pakistan is one of the greatest achievements in the country's cricket history. When the Test team went to Pakistan under the captaincy of Nazmul, Bangladesh was struggling with political turmoil and floods.

After the six-wicket win in the second Test, Nazmul said, "I think this victory will bring happiness to the people of our country because in the last few days, whether it is floods or protests, people have gone through a lot of difficulties. But the way we played the match, I think it will bring a little smile to people's faces. And we all know how crazy the people of our country are about cricket. People support us even when we lose. So we tried to give some happiness to the people of our country."

Not only was this the first Test series win against Pakistan, but it was also Bangladesh's third series win away from home. Bangladesh had previously won against West Indies in 2009 and Zimbabwe in 2021.

Shanto said, "This series win is very important. I think everyone has struggled a lot in the last one and a half months. But we all know that cricket is a very emotional thing in our country. So, I hope people will smile a little because we have won the series and matches. And we are very happy that there is some happiness on the faces of our spectators."

He further said, "The emotions I felt after winning this series are difficult to put into words. This achievement, according to me, is one of the best moments of Bangladesh cricket. And when Mushfiqur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan were batting, we all from the dressing room wanted these two to finish the match. They have been playing for Bangladesh for a long time and have won many matches for us. But winning a match like this is special, and this is what we all wanted. And we are all very happy."

In the first Test, Bangladesh bounced back after Pakistan bundled out 448, while in the second, they recovered from 26 for 6 thanks to a crucial partnership between Liton Das and Mehedi Hasan Miraz.

The captain said, "I believe belief is very important. I think every player believed that we could come back anytime because as you know, Miraz came to bat at number eight. We had depth in batting, so we all believed that if someone gets set, he can score big. So every player needed to believe that we can come back anytime."

He said, "After losing six wickets, we still believed because Miraz had said one thing before going out to bat, that he and Liton will do the job for the team and those guys have made such comebacks before, but this was impressive. I won't lie, we were really behind and we were a bit nervous at that time, but the way Miraz and Liton batted at that time, I think after 10/15 overs we were in a good position and we believed that these guys would take us to a good position."
