Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins were completely ineffective against Sam Ayub. Ayub scored 82 runs in 71 balls, which included five fours and six sixes. Abdullah Shafiq returned not out after scoring 64 runs in 69 balls and Babar Azam returned not out after scoring 15 runs in 20 balls. Babar gave Pakistan a memorable victory by 9 wickets with a six.

Haris Rauf bowled brilliantly for Pakistan and took five wickets for 29 runs in eight overs, while Shaheen Afridi took three wickets for 26 runs in 8 overs. Naseem Shah, however, proved to be expensive and he took only one wicket for 65 runs in 10 overs. The three-match series is tied at 1-1 and now the series will be decided on the Perth ground.
