Olympic Closing Ceremony India: Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to win back-to-back Olympic medals in athletics. Defending champion Neeraj Chopra threw his second throw 89.45 meters in the final event of javelin on August 8 and won the silver medal. He became the first Indian to win two medals in track and field.

Neeraj has risen like the sun in Indian sports history, he is not only a star athlete but is also adept at winning everyone's heart outside the field. A day after winning the silver, Neeraj did something outside the field after which you will also praise him and say from the heart that the boy is a diamond.

Neeraj agreed on the name of Sreejesh

Actually, Neeraj Chopra, who won back-to-back medals, was to get the honor of being the flag bearer in the Olympic closing ceremony. He would have been a part of it along with Manu Bhaker, but somewhere in the mind of the Indian Olympic Association, they wanted to give this honor to PR Sreejesh, who is playing his last Olympics. For this, IOA President PT Usha talked to him.

He said, 'I spoke to Neeraj Chopra, the humility with which he agreed that Sreejesh should be the flag bearer in the closing ceremony - he said, 'Ma'am, even if you had not asked me, I would have suggested Shri bhai's name' - this shows how much respect Neeraj has for PR Sreejesh and what a good person Neeraj is off the field. It is an honor to carry the country's flag in the closing or opening ceremony and no player gives it up easily, but what our beloved Neeraj has done is commendable.

Sreejesh and Bhaker will hold the tricolor in the closing ceremony

After Neeraj's consent, the IOA ensured that shooter Manu Bhaker and legendary goalkeeper PR Sreejesh will be the flag bearers for India in the closing ceremony. Usha said that Sreejesh was the emotional and popular choice of the Indian Olympic Association leadership, including Indian team chief Gagan Narang.

"The Indian Olympic Association is pleased to announce that hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh will be the joint flag bearer along with pistol shooter Manu Bhaker at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games," the IOA said in a statement.
