After completing medical studies, it is not easy to complete its training. Whatever field of medicine you are getting training in, you will have to compulsorily follow all the guidelines of NBEMS. NBEMS has recently made a big change in the leave policy of medical trainees.
To get admission to a medical PG course, it is necessary to pass the NEET PG exam. Medical PG courses are taught as per the guidelines set by NBEMS. NEET PG exam guidelines are also set by NBEMS (NBEMS Guidelines). NBEMS has changed the medical trainee leave policy guidelines. Every medical trainee should be aware of this change. This will make it easier to take leave.
EXIT Examination Eligibility Criteria: Who can take the exit examination?
To complete any program of NBEMS, it is necessary to complete the training within the prescribed time. Only those candidates who complete this training properly are considered eligible for the exit examination. NBEMS trainees should complete the training within the cutoff date. In case of not doing so, candidates may be barred from taking the exit examination. Any candidate who is undergoing medical training must compulsorily follow every guideline of NBEMS.
Medical Training Leave Guidelines: Who can take leave during medical training?
While completing medical training, any candidate can apply for leave under the following circumstances-
1- During NBEMS training, the trainee can take a maximum of 30 days leave every year.
2- Candidates are also entitled to weekly/duty off during training.
3- While a candidate is on leave, his weekly/duty off will also be included in the leave. For example- if a candidate has taken a leave of 30 days, then all the weekly/duty offs during this period will be considered as part of this leave.
4- Maternity Leave/ Paternity Leave: Female trainees will be given maternity leave as per the policies of the Central or State Government applicable to the training institute. The expected date of delivery (EDD)/date of delivery (DOD) should be within the period of applied maternity leave. Apart from this, in states where 6 months of maternity leave is acceptable as per the policies applicable there, its benefit can be availed from 2 months before EDD to 6 months after DOD. At the same time, there is a provision to give a maximum of 2 weeks of paternity leave to male trainees. There is no provision for extending maternity leave or giving child care leave in the NBEMS training program.
5- NBEMS trainees are not given any kind of study leave. You can use the 30 days of annual leave as you wish. But apart from this, they will not get any other leave. However, during the leave period, the medical trainee will not be allowed to work anywhere else or take admission in any academic course.
