Diwali Muhurat Trading 2024: Although common people celebrated Diwali on Thursday (31 October), Diwali is celebrated in the stock market today. In fact, Muhurat trading took place in the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange from 6 to 7 pm. All sectoral indices except IT on Nifty closed in the green. The highest rise was seen in Nifty Auto.

At the end of this special session, the 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange closed at 79,724.12 with a gain of 335.06 points, i.e. 0.42 percent. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 24,299.55 with a gain of 94.20 points, i.e. 0.39 percent.

Top Losers and Gainers
Mahindra & Mahindra, ONGC, Adani Ports, BEL, and Eicher Motors were the top gainers on Nifty while Dr. Reddy's, HCL Technologies, Britannia, Tech Mahindra, and Adani Enterprises were the top losers on Muhurat Trading.

Investors earned ₹3.23 lakh crores.
During the Muhurat trading in the stock market, the BSE market cap increased from Rs 4,44,71,429.92 crores to Rs 4,47,97,232.64 crores. In this way, the wealth of investors increased by Rs 3,25,802.72 crores.
