For the first time, an 'underwater drone' has been deployed for the safety of devotees in order to deal with every emergency in Maha Kumbh, which is capable of monitoring every activity under water 24 hours a day. Inspector General of Police (East Zone) in-charge Dr Rajiv Narayan Mishra on Wednesday deployed this drone which works at a very high speed and up to an unlimited distance under water. Mishra said that the most special thing about this drone is that it is effective in keeping an accurate eye on the target even in darkness. He said that this drone is capable of reconnaissance up to a depth of 100 meters under water and provides accurate information in any situation.

Mishra said that these drones will go up to 100 meters under water and send information about every activity to the Integrated Command and Control Center. He said that it will give accurate information about any suspicious activity or incident under water. He said that PAC, NDRF, SDRF personnel will be deployed 24 hours a day on 700 flagged boats here. He said that in this sequence, life saving divers are being deployed on a large scale for the safety of devotees coming from the country and abroad, who are capable of reaching anywhere in the blink of an eye and are capable of taking the person to a safe place before any untoward incident.

Even though more than a fortnight is left for the Maha Kumbh to begin, crowds of devotees have already started gathering on the banks of Ganga and Yamuna including Sangam. On holidays, a large number of devotees are earning the merit of bathing in Sangam along with their families, while the facilities available on the ghat due to Maha Kumbh have also given them an opportunity to enjoy picnics. In the same sequence, devotees are also enjoying camel rides from Kila Ghat to 'Sangam Nose'.

Officials said that these camels from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan are currently a center of attraction for the devotees, especially children. Their owners have given these camels charming names like Ramu, Ghanshyam and Radheshyam. These camels have been brought here especially in view of the Maha Kumbh. A camel operator said that these camels have come especially from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. A total of 50 camels have been brought to the fair area, devotees are charged 50 to 100 rupees for one ride. To attract devotees, these camels have been decorated like brides.
