India has ordered 6 Canadian diplomats to leave the country. The government said that in any case, they should leave India on or before 11:59 pm on Saturday, 19 October. Shortly before this, India had decided to call back its diplomats stationed in Canada. Canada had made baseless allegations against our diplomats, on which the government took this decision by taking a strict stand. Due to the absurd statements of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, relations have reached a low point. Diplomatic tensions between the two countries are at their peak.

The Canadian diplomats whom India has asked to leave the country include Acting High Commissioner Stewart Ross Wheeler, First Secretary Mary Catherine Jolie, Lan Ross David Trites, Adam James Chuipka, and Paula Orjuela. All have been ordered to leave the country by the night of October 19. There is also news that Canada has also asked 6 Indian diplomats to go back.

Earlier, Canada had written a letter to India and made serious allegations against Indian diplomats posted in Canada, which the Indian Foreign Ministry rejected and called it fabricated and baseless. The Foreign Ministry also summoned the High Commissioner of Canada and sought clarification from him on this matter. After some time, India decided to call back its diplomats posted in Canada citing their safety.

All this ruckus is about Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canada has been accusing Indian agencies of being involved in his murder, while India has been outright denying it. India has also asked for evidence from Canada, but till now it has not provided any evidence. India alleges that Canada is making such fabricated and false allegations of greed for the vote bank.
