New Delhi. The downtrend in the stock market is not stopping. Last week, the BSE Sensex fell by 1,906.01 points or 2.39 percent. The stock market was closed on Friday (15 November) on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Due to this downtrend in the market last week, 8 out of the top 10 companies in the stock market have suffered huge losses, but 2 companies managed to make money for their investors despite the falling market. Last week, investors of Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) made a combined profit of about Rs 15,000 crore.

According to PTI, amid the fall in the stock market, the market cap of 8 of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex declined by Rs 1,65,180.04 crore last week. HDFC Bank and SBI suffered the biggest loss during this period.

Last week, investors in these companies suffered losses;
market valuation of SBI fell by Rs 34,984.51 crore to Rs 7,17,584.07 crore, market valuation of Hindustan Unilever fell by Rs 27,830.91 crore to Rs 5,61,329.10 crore and valuation of Reliance Industries fell by Rs 22,057.77 crore to Rs 17,15,498.91 crore. The market cap of ITC fell by Rs 15,449.47 crore to Rs 5,82,764.02 crore and the market cap of Bharti Airtel fell by Rs 11,215.87 crore to Rs 8,82,808.73 crore. LIC's valuation dropped by Rs 4,079.62 crore to Rs 5,74,499.54 crore and ICICI Bank's valuation fell by Rs 2,832.38 crore to Rs 8,85,599.68 crore.

Last week, investors of these 2 companies benefited
, however, the market cap of Infosys increased by Rs 13,681.37 crore to Rs 7,73,962.50 crore. Apart from this, the market cap of TCS increased by Rs 416.08 crore to Rs 15,00,113.36 crore.


Reliance Industries remained at the top position in the list of the top 10 most valuable companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, State Bank of India, ITC, LIC and Hindustan Unilever .
