New Delhi. Virat Kohli has achieved the feat in Test cricket which his fans have been waiting for a long time. King Kohli has completed 9000 runs in Test cricket. Virat is the fourth batsman from India and the 18th batsman in the world to achieve this feat. Kohli achieved this feat in the India-New Zealand Test.

Virat Kohli was out without opening his account in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test match against New Zealand. He tried to make up for it in the second innings. As Virat scored his 53rd run during this innings, he also completed 9 thousand runs in Test cricket.

Virat Kohli has touched this figure in the 197th inning. Kohli is at number 13 in the list of batsmen who scored 9000 runs fastest. Joe Root (196) is at number 12 on this list. Kumar Sangakkara holds the record of scoring 9000 Test runs in the least number of innings. He touched this figure in the 172nd inning.

Among Indian batsmen, three Indians have scored 9000 Test runs before Virat Kohli. The first batsman to do so was Sunil Gavaskar, who scored a total of 10,122 runs in his Test career. Sachin Tendulkar (15,921) and Rahul Dravid (13,288) have also touched this figure.

Virat Kohli is often compared to Rohit Sharma. But it would not be right to do so in the case of this record. Rohit Sharma may have played international matches before Virat, but his Test career has not been that good. Rohit Sharma has played only 62 Test matches so far, in which he has scored 4233 runs. Rohit is 37 years old. In such a situation, the chances of him reaching 9000 Test runs are very low. For this, Rohit will have to play for at least the next 5 years and also perform well.

Virat Kohli has scored more than 27 thousand runs in all three formats. He had touched the mark of 27000 international runs in the last test match itself.
