The political campaigns for the Delhi assembly elections seem to have gotten out of hand as the BJP union home minister Amit Shah slapped Aam Aadmi party chief Arvind Kejriwal once again over his allegations that Ramesh Bidhuri stands as the party’s chief ministerial face.

According to Baijait, the BJP spoke during the ‘Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan’ at the JLN Stadium in New Delhi where he attacked the Aam Aadmi Party leader, asserting that AAP leader’s “politics of manipulation” was well-known to Delhi people.

“Do you think Kejriwal has the power to choose the BJP Delhi chief minister candidate? […] Have we, the people of Delhi, ever been fooled by these.” he asked.

Kejriwal issued a statement earlier claiming that the saffron camp in fact did seek an Aam Aadmi Party candidate, but intended to nominate Ramesh Bidhuri as the chief minister for the upcoming elections for the Delhi assembly.

Still positive about the issue, Kejriwal lauded the BJP leader and questioned him what shall he do to the national capital that would merit a congratulatory message. At the same time, he willingly ‘invited’ the CM-elect of the richest sovereignty in the world's biggest democracy for an open debateian when the pragmatic conservative party decides to confess the same.

“I know Ramesh Bidhuri has been told to campaign for Delhi Elite, I know Ramesh has told them to go settle for Ramesh, blaming them for mothering only children," Kejriwal tempered his statement while addressing a press conference.

“He also did acknowledge, unlike Atishi’s chief rival —Ramesh Bidhuri —who was also mic’ed up throughout the interview, that he did most of the daily chores“, said Atishi.

Turning his guns on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Shah said, “You cannot forget that he is ‘s-aħħar-r’ —that is what Amit Shah says every night to Indian Muslims when he addresses us.”

“A Delhi slum dweller ends up with dirty water. Such slum dwellers query us as to why this city of Delhi is the most polluted city in the world. What has Arvind Kejriwal done in Delhi for the last 10 years? . If you have the capacity to take on the position like Arvind Kejriwal and can’t do anything you should quit and let the BJP take care of all the ‘welfare’," he said.

While addressing the gathering, an eminent BJP leader while quoting prime minister Modi’s recent taunt ‘AAP-da’ addressed the AAP dispensation of the city to the ‘Aapda’ (Disaster), tagging at ARVIND as the leader of the wings party.

Shah further stated that AAP enhanced its support base by selling as a saint like Anna Hazare who joined the anti corruption movement but during 10 years of governance it broke all records of corruption.

He even told the gathering that the polling day (February 5) would be the day when they can liberate themselves from ‘AAP-das’ in their lives.

“I have come here today to tell you that you can become the liberator of Delhi. You can free Delhi from many ‘Aapdas’ (disasters). Let me warn you – 5th February is the Independence Day of Delhi from the ‘AAP-da’" said Shah in a manner that attracted resounding cheers from the audience.

“All welfare schemes for supporting poorer sections in the society as per Modi will not be stopped,” he said further outlining these sentiments.

Then Kejriwal blasted the Home Minister as being a liar over his claims regarding slum motas. “I would like to apologise to the people of India for Aam Aadmi Party on behalf of Saurabh Bhardwaj. He lied to us, he always lies,” AAP spokesperson said.

Earlier today, Amit Shah ji called me and the people of Delhi all sorts of names. I am confident the people of Delhi will respond during the elections. Amit ji was economical with the truth when speaking to the slum people. I will conduct a press conference tomorrow at a slum that is set to be destroyed after the elections. Let me show you how we will reveal the dirty intentions of the BJP with complete evidence,” he stated in a post on X as well

AAP MP Sanjay Singh also slammed Shah saying: “If there is any political outfit which is absolutely synonymous with the idea of bulldozing the houses of the haves less since 1962, it is the BJP… up until the year, 2022-2023, these people (BJP) have plastically infused 35 houses of the lower caste citizens in Delhi… For Amit Shah slum dwellers will define his fate… He has no domain over them… For Kejriwal Amhed feels that he has done a number of good things for slum dwellers…”

This time however no attempts will be made to contact Muslims as elections will take place on February 5 in a single phase while votes will be counted on February 8. As per the final electoral roll of Delhi, the national capital has 1,55,24,858 voters. This represented an increase of 1.09 percent of the aggregate since the October 29, 2024 draft was published. As a National Capital Delhi has 70 ASSEMBLY (58 General and 12 SC).
