Another nomination for the assembly elections in Haryana has started, while on the other hand, Congress has not yet decided on the alliance. Congress was initially in the mood to contest the elections alone in Haryana, then later the news came that Rahul Gandhi wanted to ally with AAP. After which the announcement of tickets was put on hold and efforts were made to ally. Now the news is that there are voices of opposition in the Haryana Congress regarding this. Many leaders are in favor of this alliance, while many are against it.

Captain Ajay Yadav is not in favor of an alliance

When Congress leader Captain Ajay Singh Yadav was asked about the Congress-AAP alliance talks for the 2024 Haryana elections, he said that AAP has no base in Haryana and I thought why should we give them a place there? But if there is any compulsion, then it is up to the high command to decide whether they want to tie up with them in other states as well. Yadav said- "Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi will decide whether we should ally or not. As far as my personal opinion is concerned, Congress does not need an alliance in Haryana... Congress's popularity is at its peak. AAP cannot cause any harm to Congress. Why should AAP be allowed to enter Haryana."

No decision on the alliance yet

The Congress sub-committee for Haryana held consultations with several senior leaders. The sub-committee includes leaders like Deepak Babaria, AICC in charge of the state, T.S. Singhdeo, and Ajay Maken. Singhdeo said that back-door discussions are going on about the possibility of an alliance and no one has any objection to it. He said, "It should be acceptable to both the parties. If we are in an alliance and we are part of a family, then every member of the family has an equal right to put forward his point of view and if they (AAP) feel comfortable, then we will work together and if not, then also we will stay together and we will do our work."

What did Deependra Hooda say?

Earlier, Rohtak MP and senior Congress leader Deepender Hooda said the process is on and the party system is moving forward step by step.

When asked when the party will announce its candidates, he said that we are confident that after reviewing the names, the party will field the strongest candidates. Deepender Hooda said- "Congress' alliance is with the people of Haryana. The public has made up its mind that the Congress government will be formed in Haryana. (Manohar Lal) Khattar and senior BJP leaders know this."
