Despite this, incidents of targeting Indians in America are constantly coming to the fore. A few days ago, a former professor was shot dead in Atlanta, the capital of Georgia. He was originally from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. Now an Indian student has been murdered in Chicago at the same petrol pump where he used to work. The deceased was from Telangana and was studying MBA in America. Expressing grief over the incident, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that officials of the Commercial Embassy in Chicago are providing all possible help to the affected family.
According to the information, the Indian student who was murdered in Chicago, America, has been identified as Sai Teja Nukarapu, a resident of Khammam in Telangana. Another case of murder of an Indian student has come to light in America. A youth from Khammam district of Telangana was shot dead by miscreants at a petrol pump in America. Sai Teja used to work at a petrol pump to survive in America. He was murdered at the same petrol pump.
The deceased had stayed at the request of his friend.
The family of the deceased student Sai Teja said that the young man worked at the same petrol pump. BRS MLC Madhusudan Thatha, citing preliminary information received from the US, said that Sai Teja Nukarapu (22) was shot dead by assailants at a petrol pump near Chicago in the early hours of Saturday. The BRS leader met the victim's parents at his home near Khammam and said that at the time of the incident, Sai Teja was not on duty but was helping a friend of his, who had asked him to stay for a while. Sai Teja's friend had gone out for some work.

Sai Teja completed his BBA in India and went to America to study MBA. A relative of the victim's family said that the deceased used to work part-time at a petrol pump. Sai Teja's body can be brought to India next week. BRS leader Thatha said that he has spoken to members of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) for help in this incident. The body is expected to reach India next week.
