New Delhi. Great batsman Sunil Gavaskar expressed disappointment over the performance of Indian bowlers on the first day of the second Test against Australia. He said that Indian bowlers should have performed better with the pink ball. Thanks to fast bowler Mitchell Starc's 6 wickets, Australia bowled out India for 180 runs in the first innings and scored 86 runs for one wicket by the end of the day's play.

Gavaskar told 'Star Sports', "They have to force the batsmen to play as much as they can. You can get success by forcing the batsman to play more balls. You can deceive them with the incoming ball after bowling a few balls outside."

Sunil Gavaskar further said, "As Bumrah did with Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne in the Perth Test. Indian bowlers did not use the pink ball as well as they should have."

Let us tell you that Team India could score only 180 runs in the first innings. Except for Nitish Reddy, no player performed well. Reddy scored a total of 42 runs in 54 balls. It was only because of him that India could reach the figure of 180 runs. Reddy's innings also included 3 fours and 3 sixes. The second-highest run scorer from India was KL Rahul. Who scored 37 runs?
