Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta concluded the 2024 summer placements for the 61st batch of its flagship MBA program, with the institute achieving 100 percent placements. 564 offers were made to 475 students in the placement process, which concluded on October 25. According to IIM Calcutta, the average monthly stipend this year was Rs 1.89 lakh per month, while the average was Rs 2 lakh per month, a new record.
A Stipend of Rs 6.75 lakh per month was received.
The highest domestic stipend this year was Rs 3.67 lakh per month and Rs 6.75 lakh per month at the international level. The top 5% of students have received an average monthly stipend of around Rs 3 lakh per month. This year's placement process was conducted in hybrid mode, in which more than 175 recruiters from various sectors participated. During this, opportunities have been provided for various cross-functional roles.

Companies from all major sectors such as FMCG, manufacturing, finance, consultancy, technology, analytics, pharmaceuticals, and education participated in the process. The institute's cluster-cohort process and special provisions such as the "Dream Offer" have enabled better student-recruiter matching, making the process beneficial for both students and recruiters.
According to media reports, Professor Ritu Mehta, the head of the placement process, said that these results of summer internship offers once again show the preparedness of our students in the highest competitive environment. Despite the decrease in job demand at the global level, our recruiters continue to have faith in our students and educational processes, for which we are grateful to them.
