IPL 2025 , Lucknow Super Giants Mentor: Former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan may be seen in a new role in IPL 2025. According to a Cricbuzz report, talks are going on with Lucknow Super Giants for Zaheer Khan's mentor role. There is talk of keeping Zaheer Khan, a member of India's 2011 ODI World Cup-winning team, in the place created by the absence of Gautam Gambhir. If Zaheer takes up this position, the bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants will get a lot of help as Zaheer has been a legendary bowler.
Let us tell you that there has been no mentor in Lucknow since Gautam Gambhir moved to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023. According to the information, "Talks could not be made for Zaheer Khan's potential role with the Indian team, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) preferred Morne Morkel over Gambhir's recommendation."
The current coaching setup of Lucknow Super Giants includes Adam Voges, Lance Klusener, Jonty Rhodes, Sridharan Sriram, and Pravin Tambe along with head coach Justin Langer. The report states that there are also talks of adding another head coach to the Sanjiv Goenka-owned franchise, but the details are not completely clear yet.
