New Delhi. Nitish Reddy played a brilliant century in the fourth test match being played between India and Australia. Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) on Saturday announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh to young all-rounder Nitish Reddy, who brought India back by scoring the first century of his career on the third day of the fourth test match against Australia in Melbourne. This was announced by the Andhra Cricket Association on the evening of 28 December.

Andhra Cricket Association President Kesineni Sivanath said, "This is a lucky day and a happy moment for the Andhra Cricket Association. We are very happy that a player from Andhra has been selected in the Indian team for Test cricket and T20 International cricket. The Andhra Cricket Association will give a reward of Rs 25 lakh to Nitish Reddy as a mark of respect for this achievement."

Reddy was playing on 105 runs at the end of the third day. With the help of his brilliant innings, India has scored 358 runs for the loss of nine wickets in reply to Australia's 474 runs. It remains to be seen how many more runs Team India can score on the fourth day and how much target it gives to Australia. A great innings is expected from Nitish Reddy.
