IAS DM Story: One becomes an IAS officer after getting a good rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which is considered to be one of the toughest examinations in the country. Similarly, an IAS officer from Bihar has been embroiled in the political controversy of Telangana. His name is Sandeep Kumar Jha (IAS Sandeep Kumar Jha).

. On November 26, Sircilla MLA and BRS leader T Rama Rao accused him of behaving like a Congress worker and urging BRS workers to join the Congress. Rao said this while addressing party workers in his home constituency. Rao further said that the District Collector is working as a Congress party worker. Do not be afraid of such people. Even Chief Minister Revanth Reddy cannot do anything to BRS.
IAS Officers Association strongly condemns The
BRS leader further said that the District Collector and other officials working as Congress workers will be taught a good lesson when BRS returns to power. The Telangana IAS Officers Association has also expressed "deep concern and strong condemnation" about Rao's recent derogatory statement. Apart from this, the association has demanded the withdrawal of such statements and an apology for inappropriate comments.
IAS Sandeep Kumar Jha, who secured 70th rank in UPSC,
passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2013. He secured 70th rank in this examination. He is a Telangana cadre IAS officer but originally hails from Bihar. He got a total of 699 marks in the Mains examination. Talking about the UPSC interview, he got 150 marks. Apart from this, IAS Sandeep Kumar Jha got a total of 849 marks in the UPSC examination. Sandeep Kumar Jha is currently the DM and Collector of Rajanna Sircilla district of Telangana.
KTR, who was a minister when the BRS was in power, has clashed with the ruling Congress several times since the Congress came to power in November 2023. Earlier this month, Rao had alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's brother-in-law was given contracts worth over Rs 1,000 crore under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) even though his company did not have the required qualifications.
