Chandigarh. In the Haryana assembly elections, BJP has given the maximum number of tickets to OBC faces in its first list; along with this, candidates have been selected keeping in mind social equations. In the Haryana elections, BJP has given representation to all castes in the 67 candidates declared. Among them, 8 Punjabi, 9 Brahmin, 5 Baniya, 12 Jat, 5 Gurjar, 5 Yadav, and 2 Bishnoi candidates have been declared, while Chamar, Valmiki, and Dhanak castes have also been given representation on reserved seats. Along with this, Rajput, Saini, Kummahar, Rod, and Bajigar have also got a place in the first list.
BJP has not given tickets to its 9 current MLAs. In the first list of 67 candidates, the denial of tickets of 9 current MLAs has created a stir. BJP has changed the seats of two MLAs. Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa has been given a ticket from Barwala instead of Nalwa, while Kosli MLA Laxman Yadav has been given a ticket from Rewari instead of Kosli. State Minister Vishambar Valmiki's ticket has been denied and Kapoor Valmiki has been made the candidate. Voting will be held in a single phase for 90 seats of the Haryana Assembly.
The last election in Haryana was held in 2019.
The term of the Haryana Assembly will end on November 3 and before this elections were held in 2019. In this election, Jannayak Janata Party formed the government together with the BJP. Earlier the Chief Minister was Manohar Lal Khattar, while as soon as the equation changed, Nayab Singh Saini was made the CM.
BJP gave opportunity to every section, 8 women were also given tickets.
BJP has given tickets to 11-11 Jat and OBC candidates in its first list of candidates. At the same time, 9 candidates each from Brahmin and Punjabi community have been given tickets and 8 women have been declared as candidates. BJP has given tickets to 5 candidates from the Vaishya community, 2 from the Rajput community, and 2 from the Bishnoi community. Voting for the 90 seats of Haryana will be held in one phase on 5 October while the election results will be declared on 8 October.
