GATE 2025 Registration Date Extended: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has extended the registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. An official notice has also been issued in this regard. In such a situation, candidates who could not complete the registration for GATE 2025 can apply by visiting the official website. However, candidates will be able to do this registration only by submitting the late fee.
Important Dates for 2025
The revised deadline for filling out the form with the late application fee is October 11, 2024.
The exam is scheduled on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 and the results will be declared on March 19. Admit cards will be released on January 2.
The official notice released on the GATE 2025 website states, "Due to numerous requests from applicants, the last date for extended online registration/application process (with late fee) has been extended up to Friday 11 October 2024 (11:59)."
Essential Qualification
Candidates who have completed a government-recognized degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities are eligible to apply for the exam. Apart from this, students in the third year of any bachelor's degree program can also fill out the form.
How to apply:
First of all, go to the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
After this click on the "Apply Online" tab.
Now complete the registration process.
Fill in the required details, pay the application fee, and submit the form.
Take a printout for future reference.
Application fee:
SC, ST, PWD, and women candidates will have to pay Rs 900 as an application fee per paper. Whereas, other candidates including foreign nationals will have to pay Rs 1800 per paper.
The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted for 3 hours (or 4 hours for candidates requiring compensatory time). It will consist of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks and the exam will end automatically when the allotted time is over.
