New Delhi. Former Prime Minister of India and the savior of the country who saved it from economic crisis, Dr. Manmohan Singh has passed away. He was brought to Delhi AIIMS after complaining of difficulty in breathing. He was admitted to the emergency ward. Teams from multiple departments were monitoring his health, but he could not be saved. Senior Congress leaders and family members have started coming to Delhi AIIMS.
Manmohan Singh took over the reins of the country at a time when the country was going through a phase of coalition politics. He served as the Prime Minister of the country for two terms. During Manmohan Singh's tenure as Prime Minister, many such decisions were taken which had a far-reaching impact on the country. Be it the nuclear deal with America or the launch of a far-reaching scheme like MNREGA. He also demonstrated his skills during the economic recession of 2008. It was because of his policies that when the economic structure of America and other countries was collapsing, it had only a nominal impact on India. Earlier in the early 90s, when the then Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao handed over the responsibility of the Finance Ministry to Manmohan Singh, the country was facing a serious economic crisis at that time. India was facing the problems of balance of payment. At that time too, Manmohan Singh had pulled the country out of serious difficulties on the basis of his policies.

Mild and soft -spoken
Manmohan Singh will be remembered as the top economist who initiated economic reforms in India and the first Congress leader to run a coalition government for two consecutive terms as Prime Minister. Singh, who was the Prime Minister of the world's largest democratic nation for 10 years, was respected all over the world for his economic scholarship and work. He led the country for 10 years from 2004 to 2014 as the 14th Prime Minister of India. Singh, who once studied in the light of a kerosene lamp in his village, later became a renowned academician. Manmohan Singh was praised for putting India on the path of liberalization in the early 1990s, but he was also criticized for turning a blind eye to allegations of corruption during his 10-year tenure as Prime Minister.
