New Delhi. India A team made a great start in the Emerging Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan A. The Indian team, captained by Tilak Verma, defeated Pakistan by 7 runs in the last over in its first match. Pakistan needed 17 runs in the last over to win. Nehal Vadhera was out after scoring 25 runs. Opener Abhishek Sharma scored 35 runs in 22 balls. Tilak hit two fours and two sixes in 35 balls. Sufian Muqeem took the highest 2 wickets from Pakistan's side.

With this win, India A is at the second position
in the points table with 2 points in Group B. UAE also has two points from one match but it is at the first position. Actually, UAE's net run rate is better than India. India A's run rate is 0.350 while UAE's net run rate is 0.378.
