Radhakishan Damani earned about Rs 36000 crore in a day due to a stormy rise of 16 percent in the company's shares. Along with the company, the shareholders also made huge profits. Avenue Supermart (Dmart retail chain) presented its third quarter results yesterday. Due to better results, the company's shares saw a big jump today, due to which the company's promoter Radhakishan Damani and lakhs of shareholders got huge profits.

Due to the strong rise in the company's shares, Radhakishan Damani made a profit of Rs 36000 crore in just one day. Actually, this profit has been made due to the increase in the market cap of the company.

How were the company's results

Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which owns and operates retail chain store DMart, reported operational revenue of Rs 15,565.23 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2024, up 17.5 per cent.

Avenue Supermarts said in an exchange filing that the company had earned a revenue of Rs 13,247.33 crore in the December quarter a year ago, while in October-December, 2022-23, the company's single revenue was Rs 11,304.58 crore. But, now this figure is Rs 15,565.23 crore. The company said that by December 2024, the total number of DMart stores across the country is 387.

How did the profit of 36000 crores happen in one day

In fact, on January 2, Avenue Supermart's share closed at Rs 3611. Today it opened at Rs 3840 and hit a high of Rs 4165. A total of 65 crore shares of the company are available in the market. In this regard, yesterday the market capitalization of Avenue Supermart was Rs 2347150000000 which increased to Rs 2707250000000 today. Radhakishan Damani's company DMart benefited by about Rs 36000 crore due to this tremendous jump in the market cap.
