New Delhi. Work is going on on many projects to develop world class infrastructure and improve the transport system in the country's capital Delhi. Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is one of them. Sunday, January 5, 2025 is going to be a very special day for RRTS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Sahibabad-New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Corridor to the people of the country. Let us tell you that Namo Bharat trains are already running between Meerut South and Sahibabad. Along with this, Delhi Metro's Janakpuri-Krishna Park line will also open from Sunday. This will benefit thousands of people of Delhi NCR.
According to the information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development projects worth more than Rs 12,200 crore on Sunday. PM Modi will also travel in the Namo Bharat train between Sahibabad RRTS station and New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 13 km long section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor built at a cost of about Rs 4,600 crore between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. With this, Delhi will get its first Namo Bharat connectivity. This will make travel between Delhi and Meerut much easier.
New line of Delhi Metro
PM Modi will also inaugurate the 2.8 km long section built at a cost of about Rs 1,200 crore between Janakpuri and Krishna Park under the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. This is the first section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. This will make travel easier for people. The statement said that this will benefit other areas including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri and parts of Janakpuri in West Delhi. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. Its construction will cost about Rs 6,230 crore.
Delhi-Haryana Connectivity
The corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, greatly improving connectivity between Delhi and north-western parts of Haryana. This will facilitate travel in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh through the extended Red Line. He will also lay the foundation stone of the new state-of-the-art building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) at Rohini, which will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 185 crore.
