Patna:- Today is the third day of Chhath Puja. This day is the day of evening Arghya. On this day, the devotees will fast and offer Arghya to the setting sun in the evening. Different types of fruits and Thekua Prasad will be offered. After this, the next day is the day of morning Arghya. On the fourth day, the devotees will wake up in the morning and offer Arghya to the rising Sun Narayan and then break their fast. With this, this four-day grand festival will be concluded. Patna's famous astrologer Dr. Shripati Tripathi told Local 18 that Arghya is offered to the setting Sun God on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month, while Arghya is offered to the rising Sun God on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Chhath Puja ends with offering Arghya to the rising Sun God.

According to the Vedic Panchang, Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will begin on November 06 at 9:36 pm and end on November 07 at 9:01 pm. That is why on November 07, the evening Arghya will be given when the sun is setting. The morning Arghya will be given the next day, i.e. on November 08, when the sun is rising. On November 07, Arghya will be offered to the setting sun at 05:21 am in Patna. Similarly, Arghya will be offered to the rising sun on November 8 at 06:27 am.
