An ICC official told the Times of India that all teams have to submit their provisional squads by January 12, however, they can make changes to the team till February 13. The International Cricket Council (ICC) will release the submitted squads on February 13 itself. "Indian fans will be looking at the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee, which is expected to announce the Indian team for the Champions Trophy by January 12.

There will be a total of 15 matches in this tournament of eight teams and these will be played in Pakistan and Dubai. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in Dubai.
