New Delhi. India has announced its team for the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The selectors have not given place to Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav for the 5-match test series to be played against Australia. Fast bowlers Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy have managed to make it to the test squad for the first time. Rohit Sharma will lead the Test team while Jasprit Bumrah will play the role of vice-captain. Experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami is out of the squad. He is currently recovering from injury.
