Rahul Roy became the winner of Bigg Boss 1 and won a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. Ashutosh Kaushik won the second season of Bigg Boss. He got a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. Vindu Dara Singh won the third season and also got Rs 1 crore as a prize. Shweta Tiwari won the trophy with Rs 1 crore in season 4. It was hosted by Salman Khan. Bigg Boss season 5 was won by Juhi Parmar. She got Rs 1 crore.

Cash prizes kept changing The
cash prizes were changed in Bigg Boss season 6, reducing the amount from Rs 1 crore to Rs 50 lakh. Actress Urvashi Dholakia emerged as the winner of this season. The Rs 50 lakh prize remained constant till season 10. The cash prize was further reduced from season 11. Season 11 was won by actress Shilpa Shinde, who got Rs 44 lakh. Actress Dipika Kakar won Rs 30 lakh as a cash prize for season 12, while late actor Sidharth Shukla won Rs 50 lakh after winning Bigg Boss 13. Rubina Dilaik won Rs 36 lakh in Bigg Boss 14.

Pamela Anderson was the most expensive contestant
Tejasswi Prakash emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 15 with earnings of Rs 40 lakh, while the winner of the next season, MC Stan, earned Rs 31.8 lakh. Last year, Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 with Rs 50 lakh. Apart from the cash prize, Bigg Boss often brings contestants to the show every year by paying them a hefty fee. According to a report in DNAindia.com, Canadian-American actress Pamela Anderson was reportedly paid Rs 2.5 crore for her three-day stay in the house, making her the most expensive contestant in the show's history. Actress Rimi Sen appeared on Bigg Boss 9. She reportedly received Rs 2 crore upon signing the show. Wrestler The Great Khali reportedly charged Rs 50 lakh for every single week on Bigg Boss. Cricketer Sreesanth was also reported to have been paid Rs 50 lakh per week during his stint on the show.
