Amidst the coup in Bangladesh, its effect has also been seen in cricket. The situation in Bangladesh is not good these days. In such a situation, it is believed that the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 to be held there can also be shifted to another country. On the other hand, Bangladesh Cricket Board is likely to suffer huge losses due to this. At the same time, the phase of resignations continues in Bangladesh cricket. Bangladesh Cricket Board's Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus has resigned from his post with immediate effect.

Jalal said this

Jalal, who is also a director on the board, confirmed the development to Cricbuzz on Monday. Jalal said he has resigned from the board in the interest of cricket. He is the first director to resign from the current board, which has been under scrutiny since the change of government on August 5 following student protests that forced the Awami League government to resign. Changes in the board are expected in the future as BCB president Nazmul Hasan has also expressed his willingness to resign from his post in the interest of cricket and cooperate with the government.
