Given this, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some states between 12 and 13 December. On the other hand, it rained in Delhi NCR on Sunday evening due to the effect of Western Disturbance. In such a situation, the outbreak of cold is expected to increase in the country's capital.

IMD's warning
IMD has issued an alert in view of the weather conditions. According to meteorologists, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on December 12. Apart from this, torrential rains may occur in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, South Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe. The local administration along with the general public has been advised to remain alert so that no untoward incident occurs.
Rain on 13 December too
The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding 13 December in its latest update. IMD said that there may be torrential rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry,y, and Karaikal on 13 December 2024. A warning of heavy rains has also been issued in Kerala, Mahe, South Karnata, and Coastal Karnataka. Let us tell you that due to cyclonic storm Fanjal, rains had caused havoc in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry a few days ago. This caused widespread devastation.
