New Delhi. Shreyas Iyer, who is out of the Indian cricket team, has scored a double century in the Ranji Trophy. He ended his 7-year wait for a first-class double century. On Thursday, in the Ranji Trophy match, he scored 200 runs in 201 balls for Mumbai against Odisha. This batsman, who returned unbeaten after scoring 152 runs on the first day, completed his double century on the second day. He played an innings of 233 runs on 228 balls by hitting 24 fours and 9 sixes, i.e. a total of 33 boundaries.
Iyer's double century
Iyer, who was out of Team India, has returned to form. He scored a century in his last match against Maharashtra. After this, he skipped the match against Tripura and now scored a double century against Odisha. Iyer played his last Test against England earlier this year and was ruled out due to his back injury in the middle of the series. After this, he was dropped from the team and his central contract also ended. On the first day against Odisha, Iyer played a fast innings and completed a century in just 101 balls which included 18 fours and four sixes. Iyer completed his double century in 201 balls with the help of 22 fours and eight sixes.
