AFCAT 2025: The Indian Air Force has released the notification for AFCAT 01/2025. Along with this, the application process has also started from 2 December. Youths preparing to become officers in the Air Force can apply for it till 31 December. The application has to be done by visiting the official website afcat.cdac.in. Through this recruitment campaign, 336 officers will be recruited in the Air Force.
Recruitment of officers in the Air Force will be done in the Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branch. Apart from this, recruitment will also be done in the Flying Branch under NCC Special Entry. Through this recruitment, a short service commission will be given in the army. Both men and women can apply for this.
AFCAT 2025 : Age Limit for AFCAT
Flying Branch- Candidates' age should be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 24 years as of 1st January 2026. Candidates should be born between 2nd January 2002 to 1st January 2006. For candidates who have a pilot license issued by DGCA, the maximum age limit is 26 years.
Ground Duty (Technical and Non Technical)- For this the age of the candidates should be between 20 to 26 years. The age limit will be calculated from 1 January 2026.
AFCAT 2025 : Educational Qualification
Flying Branch- Candidates must have passed 12th with Maths and Physics subjects with a minimum of 50% marks. Also, it is necessary to have graduated with 60% marks in any discipline.
Ground Duty Branch (Technical)- Candidates must have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics subjects with 50% marks. Along with this, they must have done BE/BTech with 60% marks.
Ground Duty Branch (Non-Technical) - Candidates should have passed 12th and graduated with 60% marks. If you want to get recruited in Wethe apon Systems Branch, then you should have passed 12th with Physics and Maths subjects. 50% marks are required in each subject. Also, graduation should be done with 60% marks. Whereas, for the Accounts Branch, one should have passed 12th with 60% marks. Also, one should have done a B.Com, BBA (Specialization in Finance) or should be CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA qualified. Those doing B.Sc in specialization in Finance are also eligible to apply. Apart from this, to go to the Education Branch, one should have passed 12th with 50% marks. Also, PG degree should be taken with 60% marks.
For the Metrology branch, one must have done B.Sc (with Physics and Mathematics) with 60% marks along with 12th. Or one must have done B.Tech.
AFCAT 2025 : How much salary will you get
According to the 7th CPC, the salary of a Flying Officer in the Air Force is Rs 56100 – 177500 (Level-10). During the one year training, Rs 5000 is paid every month.
