New Delhi. Many leagues are being played in world cricket on the lines of IPL. But Indian players do not play in any foreign league except IPL. This rule of BCCI is not applicable in women's cricket. Indian women cricketers are currently playing in the Women's Big Bash League going on in Australia. Something amazing happened in the 34th match of the league. The teams of Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers were face to face on Thursday (21 November). The excitement was at its peak in this match. Both teams scored equal runs in the stipulated overs. The match went to the super over for the winner but there was no benefit there either. Both had the same score in the super-over, after which the match was tied.

In the match played between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers in Hobart, Scorchers won the toss and decided to bat first. The team was able to score 126 runs with 4 balls remaining. Beth Mooney scored the highest 44 runs for Scorchers while Brooke Halliday scored 41 runs. Ashley Gardner took the maximum 4 wickets for Sydney Sixers while Courtney Grace Sippel and Amelia Kerr took two wickets each.

After 20-20 overs, the score of both the teams was 126-126 runs.
Sydney Sixers team came to chase the target of 127 runs set by Perth Scorchers and despite the brilliant innings of 67 runs by star all-rounder Alice Perry, scored 126 runs in 20 overs. Alana King took 3 wickets for Perth Scorchers. After the score ended in a tie, a super over was used to decide the winner.

What does the rule say?
According to the rules of the Women's Big Bash League, Super Over is resorted to only once in league matches when the score is equal. If a result is decided in this then it is fine, otherwise if the score is equal then it will be considered a tie. But in knockout matches, Super Over is played until a result is decided.

What happened in the super over
Sydney Sixers batted first in the super over. Alice Perry scored 15 runs in 5 balls in the super over while Ashley Gardner scored 2 runs in 2 balls. In total, Sydney scored 15 runs. After this Mikayla Hinkley from Perth Scorchers hit three consecutive fours in three balls and tied the super over. Perth Scorchers did not have a good start in the super-over. They lost one wicket in 3 runs. Scorchers had scored only 3 runs in 3 balls when they got the first blow. But we have to praise Hinkley who scored 12 runs in the next 3 balls and tied the almost lost match.
