A shocking incident has come to light from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. A young man befriended a girl through Instagram. After some time, he started threatening to make her photo viral and kill her. In this way, he blackmailed the girl and looted jewelry worth lakhs of rupees from her. The police have arrested the young man in the case. The police have recovered two lakh 75 thousand rupees from the young man, which he had collected by selling jewelry. 

The police of Ghaziabad's Shalimar Garden police station have arrested the accused youth. The accused had earlier also taken jewelry worth lakhs of rupees from the girl and had enjoyed the money by selling them. Troubled by the blackmailing of the youth, the victim finally informed her family about this and they complained to the police. 

Lakhs of rupees were recovered from the accused

The victim's father had complained to the Shalimar Garden police station on August 27 that a man named Tarun befriended his daughter on Instagram. He took her jewelry by threatening to make her photos viral and kill her. Taking immediate cognizance of the incident, on August 28, the Shalimar Garden police team arrested the accused Tarun Meena (21) based on information from an informer. The police also recovered Rs 2.75 lakh from him, which was collected by selling the jewelry given by the girl.

Pressure was created to give jewelry by threatening

During police interrogation, Tarun Meena said that Rs 2.75 lakh had been recovered from him. He befriended the victim on Instagram, took her photos and threatened to make them viral and kill her, and pressured her to give him jewelry. Earlier also, he had enjoyed himself with the money by selling the jewelry given by the victim. According to the police, Tarun Meena is a resident of Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad.
