New Delhi. Babar Azam has created history in T20 cricket. Babar has become the fastest player to score 11000 runs in this short format of cricket. He broke the record of West Indies' Chris Gayle. Babar achieved this feat in the second T20 match of the 3-match series against South Africa which was played at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Right-handed batsman Babar made this record in 298 innings while Gayle had to wait for 314 innings to reach the figure of eleven thousand in T20. In this list is former Australian opener David Warner who reached this milestone in 330 innings, while Indian star Virat Kohli reached this magical figure in 337 innings.

30-year-old Babar Azam scored 31 runs off 20 balls in the second T20 match against South Africa. Which included 3 fours and a six. George Linde showed him the way to the pavilion. Earlier, Babar returned to the pavilion without opening his account in the first T20 of the series. In the first T20 played at Kingsmead in Durban, Babar was made a victim of 18-year-old fast bowler Kwena Mphaka. Babar became the 5th Pakistani to score 14000 international runs
. Babar Azam has scored 4221 runs in 128 matches. Babar has 3 centuries and 36 half-centuries in T20 International. Babar became the fifth batsman from Pakistan to score 14000 runs in international cricket. This list includes Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yusuf and Javed Miandad. Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored 20541 runs in international cricket for Pakistan. To break Inzamam's record, Babar will have to score about 6000 more runs.
